From March 8 to 10, Huayang Center for Yellow Sea Studies and Huayang Center for Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance (hereafter referred to as Huayang Center) will co-host the “Yellow Sea Development and Protection – Yancheng Practice II: Dafeng” seminar in Dafeng district of Yancheng, Jiangsu Province.
The seminar will be chaired by Dr. Wu Shicun, Chairman of Huayang Center, and Chairman of the Academic Committee of the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS). Representatives from Chinese marine management agencies, experts, and scholars from think tanks, universities, and enterprises will be invited to conduct in-depth discussion through a combination of seminars and field research. The discussions will focus on topics of “Dafeng District Marine Industry Planning”, “Marine New Quality Productive Forces”, “Dafeng Dongsha Energy Island Construction”.
The Huayang Center for Yellow Sea Studies is a specialized maritime think tank registered in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. As a branch of the Huayang Center based in Dafeng, it is dedicated to leveraging Dafeng’s unique geographical advantages, marine resources, policy support and industrial foundation, to conduct inter-disciplinary research and provide consultancy services with a focus on the development and protection of the marine resources of the Yellow Sea. Huayang Center for Yellow Sea Studies aims to promote local socio-economic development by establishing a stable platform for scientific research, communication, and collaboration among governments, enterprises, and experts committed to the protection and development of the Yellow Sea.
